Through public and private sector collaboration, the workshop intends to develop a comprehensive and collective action to support business ethics in the engineering and construction sectors. In her speech during the workshop, Maglaya expressed the Philippines’ support in developing ethically conscious businesses that follow transparent procedures and fair competition in bidding for engineering construction contracts. She added that governments’ commitment in adhering to principles of transparency and accountability is fundamental to sustainable social and economic development and robust regional economic development.
