Glenn Peñaranda, PTIC-Singapore Commercial Counsellor speaks at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Construction Demand Seminar at the MND Complex in Singapore. Peñaranda shared opportunities in the Philippine construction industry and invited Singapore and other Asian companies who are keen to explore prospects in the country. The seminar was one of the most successful events of BCA with close to 200 participants.
The construction industry in the Philippines has been booming and helping boost the Philippine economy – one of Asia’s fastest growing in the past two years. The Philippine Construction Market Outlook Report 2014 shows that the construction industry is expected to grow by 46 percent this year. The seminar is part of the on-going efforts of BCA to support Singapore companies’ growth and overseas expansion. The speakers provided updates to companies on the associated business and construction opportunities, abounding in various South East Asian markets, as well as insights on the region’s construction prospects.
