An investment seminar centered on opportunities in the Philippines was organized by Corporate Business Group, exclusively for SMEs in Singapore. His Excellency Antonio Morales, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, was invited to deliver the keynote speech. He emphasized the positive strides that the country has accomplished in recent years which has piqued the interest of businessmen in Singapore and the region. The Philippines posted one of the fastest growth rates in Southeast Asia in 2013 at 7.2 percent. In 2014, the country’s gross domestic product grew 6.1 percent, posting the best growth in Asia after China on strong farm output and construction activity.
