Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Gregory L. Domingo (right) confers with (from left) Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) Director Rhodora M. Leaño, Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) Director Senen M. Perlada, and DTI Undersecretary for Industry Promotion Group Ponciano C. Manalo, Jr. in the re-launch of the Export Assistance Network (Exponet) during the recent Manila FAME at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. DTI is re-introducing and re-launching its Exponet to assist companies, exporters and would-be exporters. In 1984, the Exponet was envisioned to be a one-stop export information and assistance unit that can cater to exporters and companies aspiring to enter the export industry. Currently, it provides assistance on all export-related concerns including providing information on export procedures as well as documentation and mediation of export trade-related complaints. It assists exporters dealing with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and commodity agencies regulating export products. It also helps companies that import raw materials necessary in the production of their export products. (DTI-PRU)
