Manalo noted that at present, the Philippines’ game development and animation industry boasts of exemplary capabilities in 2D (two-dimensional) and 3D (three-dimensional) game development, quality control and assurance and support services, and advergaming development or games and apps for advertising and promotions. The DTI event was co-organized by the Nikkei Business Publications (Nikkei BP), Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) of Japan, with Philippine partners Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI), and the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA). Event sponsors included AJC and PLDT.
