Philippine participation at the Thailand Innovation and Design Expo 2014

 

PTIC-Bangkok organized the PH participation to T.I.D.E. 2014, an event organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce-Thailand held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok from 18 to 21 September, 2014. The opening ceremony was graced by the new Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha. T.I.D.E. aims to showcase innovation, design and creativity, today’s main driving force to global competitiveness.

PTIC-Bangkok invited Chef Tony’s Snack Food Co., Ltd. and Design Zone Co., Ltd. to promote their innovative popcorn products, and creative designer furniture and fashion accessories, respectively.

Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Industry Promotion Group Officer in Charge and Board of Investments (BOI) Executive Director Raul V. Limprana led a 19-member delegation composed of officers of the Thailand Board of Investment (Thai BOI), and industry association leaders particularly in the banking and textile industries. The delegation aims to explore business opportunities in the Philippines in line with the full integration of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) economy by 2015. During their meeting, Angeles said that now is the right time to come to the Philippines. He also mentioned the influx of investment missions to the country and the on-going changes in government with good governance as country’s embodiments in enabling businesses. Philippine Fair @ Central World

PTIC-Bangkok organized a four-day trade fair for Philippine food companies based in Thailand at the Central World Mall Bangkok, that included Chef Tony’s Snack Foods (gourmet popcorn), Thai Liwayway (Rinbee snacks), San Miguel Beer and Smart Food Company Limited (The Sari Sari Store).

Thai Chamber of Commerce AEC Conference

CA Eric Elnar spoke at the seminar on “The Challenge of the Three Pillars in the ASEAN Community (Economic, Political Security and Socio-Cultural Paradigms)” held on 16 August 2013 at the Plaza Athanee Hotel, Bangkok. Organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, CA Elnar gave a presentation on Philippine preparations for the AEC concerning trade and investment.
