Top executives of Thermos, the world’s largest manufacturer and seller of stainless steel vacuum flasks, announced the company’s move to establish a production facility in the Philippines. They declared an initial investment amounting to P1.62B and identified the First Philippine Industrial Park II in Santo Tomas, Batangas as the site of the firm’s new factory. The company intends to set up a 11,600 square meter plant, on over 7 hectares of land, that will have an initial production capacity of 10 million units per year. It expects to complete the construction by September 2015 and commence its production operations by December 2015. The project will require about 1500 to 2000 workers by 2019
