Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Lilia de Lima visited Japan on 14-18 January 2014 for a series of business meetings with Japanese companies arranged by the Bank of Tokyo and the Philippine Trade and Investment Centers in Tokyo and in Osaka. More than 300 executives attended seminars organized by the Bank of Tokyo and keynoted by Director General de Lima in both cities.

Director General de Lima, who is a also an Awardee of His Imperial Highness, The Emperor’s Order of Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star Award, also met with prospective Japanese investors involved in the manufacture of construction materials, ship machineries, packaging items, and welding consumable products. PEZA currently has around 700 Japanese locators in its almost 300 economic zones around the Philippines. Compared to any country in the world, Japanese investors account for the largest number of locators in PEZA.

PEZA Director General Lilia de Lima is received by Mr. Shinzo Yamada, President of Taiyo Electric Co., Ltd, during her call on the Japan Ship Machinery Equipment Association (JSMEA) at its Tokyo Headquarters last January 17.
