Public-Private Dialogue on Inclusive Business. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Zenaida C. Maglaya delivers the Welcome Remarks for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Investments Experts’ Group’s (IEG) Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) on Inclusive Business (IB) themed “Fostering SME Growth through Inclusive Business” on August 27, 2015 at the Manila Meeting Room, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines. She stated that there is a skewed distribution of resources characterized by income and wealth inequality. She envisions the dialogue to be a forum to discuss and explore ways for innovative mindset and approach to be applied to the creation of new business models that address the problem of growing and persistent inequality towards the realization of APEC’s goal and mission. The PPD aims to raise awareness through exchange of information and best practices on Inclusive Business (IB) models in agribusiness, manufacturing and services. It would stress the importance of developing SMEs through inclusive business to create jobs, increase income and improve quality of life. (DTI-PRU)
